Retool is a 3D hacking puzzle game set on incomplete orbital defence stations that circle around Sinai, home planet of the alien species known as Onix.

After 43 years of war, the Onix triumphed and defeated the humans. The victory came at a cost of destruction to their planet and orbital stations. Instead of repairing it themselves, the Onix used their captured prisoners as slave labor to rebuild their destroyed properties, starting with the stations. You are Maria, an engineer that was captured in the final weeks of the war. Having hacked your way out of your prison cell on a station, you must escape and return home.

Getting on this project was pretty good timing from me considering I had been working on a lot of ambient and atmospheric stuff at the time, and this was still the case, here. Not that I'm complaining, of course; I love creating different textures and sounds with certain tones (Reaktor Prism was my friend throughout this soundtrack), and I was pretty much allowed to continue doing that here. I was somewhat inspired by composers such as Austin Wintory (especially for Maria's Theme) and Cliff Martinez for this project, especially when it came to being pretty minimalistic in certain parts. So yeah, thank you to Lovepreet for having me on board for this, and thank you Kim for allowing me to use your sweet artwork for this OST!

All money from my work will go directly towards improving my music and sound work and resources, so I can keep improving and creating what I love. Cliche as hell, eh, but it's true.

This OST is also on Bandcamp if you prefer using that instead.
